Wagner's combination of size, consistency, and catchable snaps gives him a strong foundation as a 2027 long snapping prospect. His punt snaps come off his hands with clean rotation and consistent velocity. More importantly, Wagner regularly puts the football on frame. His snaps are easy for the punter to receive, which can sometimes be overlooked when evaluating the position. A long snapper doesn't need to make the punter work unnecessarily, and Wagner generally does an excellent job delivering a predictable football. There are still details to clean up. His short snaps can occasionally finish slightly low, while some punt snaps can climb a little high. Neither issue requires a major overhaul. Continued work with a private coach on his release, mechanics, and consistency should help tighten his strike zone and make an already dependable operation even more precise. His 6'3", 205-pound frame also provides value in protection. Wagner has the size and length to hold up at the line of scrimmage and develop into an effective blocker at the college level. The next major piece of his evaluation will be what happens after the snap. Improving his coverage speed, pursuit, and physicality would make his film significantly more complete. Showing college staffs that he can deliver a quality snap, protect, release downfield, and contribute as a coverage player should help increase the attention he receives. The snap speed is consistent. The rotation is clean. Most importantly, he repeatedly gives his punter a catchable football. Now it's about tightening the smaller details and becoming a more complete special teams player. Continued private instruction should help eliminate the occasional high or low snap, while additional emphasis on athleticism and coverage ability could make a meaningful difference in his recruitment. Wagner doesn't need to reinvent his snapping operation. He needs to polish it and expand everything around it. If he does that, we believe he has the potential to step into a college specialist room and become the type of dependable long snapper a program can be very happy having for the next four to five years.
