Mateo Sanchez

Mateo Sanchez is one of the smoothest ball strikers in this recruiting class. Everything about his operation is under control—from his footwork and approach to the football to the way he finishes each swing. His approach is clean and effortless, allowing him to consistently strike a pure football with excellent trajectory. Sanchez swings high through contact and finishes naturally downfield, creating outstanding lift without sacrificing power. The result is a repeatable operation that projects extremely well to the college level. His junior production reinforces what shows on film. Sanchez connected on 9-of-12 field goals, including a 52-yard field goal, proving he has legitimate long-range ability in game situations. On kickoffs, he produced 28 touchbacks on 32 attempts, demonstrating the type of leg strength required to consistently win field position. Sanchez combines refined mechanics with natural power, making him one of the more complete kicking prospects in the country. KT Recruiting Evaluation Boston College landed one of the most polished kickers in the 2027 recruiting class. Sanchez already possesses the physical build, clean mechanics, and confidence that coaches look for when projecting specialists to the Power Four level. His long-range field goal ability, coupled with an 87.5% touchback rate, demonstrates that he can impact games in multiple ways. More importantly, his smooth operation gives him an incredibly high floor while leaving room for continued growth as he develops physically. We believe Sanchez has all the tools to become one of the ACC’s top kickers. His combination of natural ball-striking ability, proven in-game production, and fundamentally sound mechanics gives him tremendous long-term upside.
