Ryan Cleator

Ryan Cleator projects primarily as a placekicker and kickoff specialist, while also possessing the versatility to serve as a dependable backup punter at the collegiate level. His field goal operation is smooth, controlled, and technically sound. Cleator does an excellent job of maintaining rhythm throughout his approach, allowing him to consistently produce clean contact and a football with excellent trajectory. As he continues staying taller through contact and trusting his posture over the plant leg, his ball striking becomes even more explosive. His measurable numbers support what appears on film. Cleator has demonstrated a 55-yard average good distance, 66.3 mph ball speed, and 11.4 feet of height at the line of scrimmage—excellent indicators of a college-level football coming off the ground. His kickoff game has taken significant strides as well. Averaging 65-yard kickoffs with 3.69 seconds of hang time and 72.8 mph ball speed, Cleator continues to show the type of leg strength needed to consistently flip field position. With continued physical development, we believe he'll have the ability to drive kickoffs 70+ yards on a consistent basis. One of the most exciting aspects of Cleator's game is that his ceiling continues to rise. His contact is already very good, and as he becomes even more consistent as a ball striker, his production will continue improving.
